Hold it All
Hold it all. This week I’ve had one of the worst nights of purging and disconnection, and also possibly the most beautiful sexual experience of my life. I’ve had a customer go bankrupt and default on 60k, and in the same time period a surprise donor to Sensing Woman. There was both the news on Pakistan’s 33M climate refugees (!!!) and Patagonia’s “our only shareholder is earth” announcement. A friend doing really good work on regenerative communities also reveals he is a conspiracy theorist; one of the most gentle people to the outside world reveals she self harms; a great act of kindness is born inside of a lie. It’s happening at once, this complexity, these contradictions: nothing is all good or all bad. I just the notice the poles and am steady in the center. Dynamic tension. Hold on loosely. Wait long enough and the weather will change… I am in the eye of the storm and it is quiet here. Reverent, curious, here for it all.
